Trama
De achtjarige Otje en haar opvliegende vader Tos, wonen op de zolder van het bijna failliete hotel De Koperwiek waar Otje's vader als kok werkzaam is. Otje, die er een beetje uitziet als een jongen, heeft een geheime boomhut en een aantal bijzondere beesten als vriendjes. Haar vader is daar nogal sceptisch over en gelooft helemaal niets van de verhalen dat Otje met de dieren praat. Op een dag trekken Otje en haar vader de wijde wereld in.
