줄거리
José do Egito is a miniseries biblical Brazilian produced by RecordTV, distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment originally aired from 30 January to 9 October 2013. Written by Vivian de Oliveira and with general direction of Alexandre Avancini, directed by Vivianne Jundi, Hamsa Wood and arm Manente, José do Egito is the fourth biblical miniseries produced by RecordTV, succeeding The Story of Esther (2010), Samson and Delilah (2011) and King David (2012). Initially planned to be displayed in 28 chapters due to the good reception of the public was reissued and displayed in 38 chapters.

I've been besotted by this mini-series. I think it's quite superb - the acting, the costumes, interpretation, sets and last but not least, the music! I've managed to record almost the entire series and have watched it constantly over the last two years! I dread the day my Sky box fails as there is no way to copy onto another medium and I don't thing it's available on dvd at all. I am also intrigued by the dubbing as it's mostly like it's not been dubbed at all, the spoken words match the lip synch wonderfully well. Not distracting at all! I also discovered that this is part of a series of Biblical miniseries written by Vivian de Oliveira and directed by Alexandre Avancini. Before that came Queen Esther, Samson and King David, all in the same excellent standard. Apparently there is one other but I've yet to find it.
