Trama
Five Live volgt de presentatoren en redactie van de wekelijkse goed bekeken talkshow Five Live. Die show is elke vrijdagavond te zien bij de (fictieve) commerciële zender Five. De vaste hosts zijn Sara Bannink (55) en Roderik van Zuylen (49). De serie wordt verteld vanuit de ogen van de kersvers aangenomen stagiaire Honey. Dolgelukkig een voet tussen de deur van de tv-wereld gekregen te hebben, begint ze vol goede moed aan haar nieuwe baantje bij de redactie van Five Live. Ze ontdekt al snel dat haat, nijd, jaloezie, geroddel, ellebogenwerk en hypocrisie de boventoon voeren.
