As if the locals' hostility against 'impertinent, lazy' federal cops weren't bad enough, the three involved police departments bicker amongst themselves. Gay teacher Peter Fonteyne tutored Kevin, according to unsubstantiated rumors with pedophile abuse. the crowd turns on him when Kevin's corps is found by his uncle-godfather Maurice Cauwenberghs in the part of the wood indicated by a 'medium'.
